Between the states Amazonas and Bolivar, with 7 million 533 thousand hectares
The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, ordered the creation of the National Park Caura, on March 22, 2017, between the states of Bolívar and Amazonas. By signing a decree during the celebration of Water Day, in Congress Of the Mother country Ecosocialista.
“This would be the largest national park in the world and I am making it for the protection of the fauna, nature and indigenous ethnic groups that live there,” he said.
This park will have 7 million 533 thousand hectares for the protection of four municipalities between the states of Amazonas and Bolívar.
